Getting rid of clothes that no longer work for you is an incredibly liberating act. It honors where you are in your life right now, including the shape and size of your body.
Starting with a Style Consultation, we’ll discuss your current style and the styles you want to move toward. I’ll have you complete a questionnaire and a bit of homework that will help me understand your personal style. We clarify your image goals, and I take your measurements to determine your body type and offer advice on the best ways to dress your figure. (This service is 1 hour.)
Then, we get into your closet.
We go through everything in your wardrobe and you’ll try things on when necessary so I can help assess proper fit. Together we will determine what should be kept, altered, or given away. I can help you create outfits out of clothing you already have and then follow up with a shopping list of key pieces your wardrobe might be missing.
The Closet Cleanup is a great thing to do before going shopping because you get a true inventory of what you have (and what you need). (This service averages 3 hours.)
Purging what no longer serves you leaves you only with the best of the best! It also allows you to see what you need in your closet (and what you have plenty of).
Once we clear out what isn’t working, I create a list of what I recommend you add to your current wardrobe (aka permission to buy a few new things!) But you’ll do so intentionally, with the knowledge of your closet inventory, which is the smart way to shop because it maximizes what you already have.
Trying to create outfits from a jam-packed closet hardly ever works. Why? Because you’re likely not wearing 80% of the clothes in there.
Your clothes may not fit you properly, they may not reflect who you are / your current style, or they may be outdated or showing too much wear and tear.
